Let us introduce ourselves...

“Organizing and planning have always been two of my favorite activities. From an early age, I was always the one to initiate and organize several trips and outings. During high school, I already knew which study would fit my interests: Leisure management, specializing in the Event industry.
After working in the Event & Congress industry for several years, I switched to a career in tourism by chance. A lot of travelling and a very informative time followed. During the first couple of years, Italy was my specialty. I have seen every part of that country and visited the most beautiful sights. Italy is still one of my favorite destinations and I enjoy advising customers about the most amazing places. One special trip that I was asked to organize for a group of entrepreneurs was an all-in four day-trip to Sicily. Before we planned the trip, I travelled to Sicily with the client for an inspection to select a hotel, the restaurants and to determine the program. The group of entrepreneurs really enjoyed the Sicilian life and were really impressed by the extensive lunch at the base of the Etna volcano in between the Tenuta Murgo San Michele vine branches.
Last year, I visited Valencia in Spain and was positively surprised by this city. It is a perfect destination for a city trip and it has a pleasant temperature, even in winter. The relaxed atmosphere of the city, biking through the Jardin del Turia and eating paella on the beach: a great all-in-one destination, and affordable too!
Currently, I have been working as an Account manager Group & Incentive Travel at Oad for three years already. In my opinion, this job has the perfect combination of organizing and travelling. I think there is no other job as enjoyable as creating the most beautiful journeys for and together with our clients. I always go the extra mile to exceed the customer’s expectation.”

“Organizing and planning things have always come easy and are a part of my personality, just like my passion for travel. After high school, I didn’t know whether I wanted to study Hotel Management or Tourism Management. After travelling in California for 3 months, I caught the travel bug and chose to study Tourism Management.
During and after my studies, I lived abroad for several periods of time. I studied in London, Buenos Aires and Cuzco and worked in New York for 4 years. In New York, I gained a lot of experience in planning and organizing, which I continued to develop when I returned to the Netherlands. I have organized various tours, trips, events and conferences for a variety of clients and companies. No two trips, destinations or groups are the same and that is the best thing about working in this industry.
You also get to travel to places that you might not visit yourself. For example, during an inspection trip to Montenegro, I was positively surprised by this destination; friendly people, beautiful surroundings with lots of greenery, wonderful beaches and delicious food and drinks. The country also offers many options for activities, both on water and in the mountains. Montenegro is steadily growing as a travel destination, but at the same time it has not been completely discovered yet. It is definitely a great destination for an incentive or business trip!
Since June 2019, I am part of the Group & Incentive Travel team at Oad; a creative position where I can combine my passion for traveling and organizing. Putting together an unforgettable custom-built journey is one of the best challenges of my job. At our department, no two days are the same; one moment, I’m planning a trip to Berlin by train and the next I am booking a group flight to Mallorca. The variety of this job keeps us focused and makes me excited to get back to work in the morning.”
